NIL changes Dynasty mode from a series of isolated recruiting choices into one connected budget. The safest way to plan is to treat every offer as a future commitment and make tradeoffs visible before you spend.
Start with one shared pool
Dynasty Points cover NIL, coaching staff, and facilities. A point committed in one category is unavailable everywhere else. Enter the total shown in your save, then subtract staff and facility commitments before setting a roster target.
This planner deliberately uses only values you enter. It does not claim to reverse engineer hidden player valuations or predict an exact demand.
Separate roster NIL from recruiting NIL
Current roster spending protects players already in the program. Recruiting offers add future obligations. Tracking them on separate lines makes it easier to see when a strong class quietly creates next-season pressure.
- Roster NIL: current retention commitments.
- Recruiting NIL: accepted or planned prospect offers.
- Departures: current NIL expected to be released after the season.
- Reserve: points intentionally left untouched.
Review after every commitment
Update the planner when an offer changes, a prospect commits, or a likely departure becomes clear. The projected headroom number is most useful as a direction indicator, not a promise about the next offseason.
